Reforestation

Only one pillar of responsible and sustainable forest management but a vital one

  • Dalmann Mozambique subscribes to a policy of plating 5 new indigenous hardwood saplings for every tree harvested.
  • This policy means the company plants between 8,000 and 17,000 trees per annum depending on the rainfall and weather patterns.

Below is a series of photos showing the Reforestation

Saplings

Saplings are translated into the forest by Dalmann Mozambique. Areas that have been previously damaged, usually from slash and burn agriculture, are reforested in order to reverse the negative impact.

Series of photos over 5 years showing and degraded area being reforested.
